Who we are

Sodade Residencial Restaurante has a very privileged location,  in heart  of the town, 10 minutes from the airport and with a unique panoramic view. Due to its location our guests have easy access to any point of the island of Sao Vicente. SODADE categorized as a three stars establishment and offering a high quality service. The rooms are equipped with ac, telephone, TV, mini bar, safe in the reception, private bathroom and laundry service which complements our high quality of service.

Historial 

Upon returning to their native country from Ivory Coast, Veronica (Dona Nhunha) and Pedro Tavares, decided to establish in São Vicente, where, with their long-term savings done in the emigration, they created the SODADE Residencial Restaurante. SODADE opened in 1980, in their own residence with a service of meals. Soon after they began renting rooms and organizing very famous Noite Caboverdiana, in this participated local artists such as Cesária Évora. After some time SODADE became a stop spot for the Mindelenses (people of the city of Mindelo), and to national and international political personalities. A typical restaurant with a family ambience, SODADE mission each day is to guarantee customer satisfaction and offer a varied menu with delicious food and high quality room services.

The Sodade Residencial Restaurante on 38 Franz Fanon Street, about 100 meters from the Government Palace. Served by the most varied public transports, an advantage from its central location, from SODADE there are easy accesses to the main exits of Mindelo.
